Trip Down Memory Lanie...

I reactivated my Facebook page today and went through a few older pictures from years ago.  Before I settled down into the here and now.  Some of these people I haven't talked to in forever.  I have no idea where they are, what they are doing and we used to be so close.  :(

This one is from when I worked in a country bar here in Indy.  I'm the one in the black hat.  I still have that hat and I love it.

This one is from so long ago. Back in my traveling days where my feet were never really comfortable being in Indiana. When I was planning on moving to Washington, DC. Sell it all. Be brave and just go. Well... shit happens and I never did make that move.  I'm the one on the right in the black shirt holding the beer cup.  Oh, that was also the night that I discovered you can get a perfect stranger to give up their candy necklace if you are nice enough.  :)  I won't tell you what happened at the gas station on the way home.  All I can really say is that in my own defense, I was VERY drunk and I guess there is a first and last time for everything.

Ahhh... and then there's New Year's Eve 2005.  I was working that night.  What a bat shit crazy person I was back then!  But then again, I was having the time of my life and getting all of the BS out of my system.  I think we all go through that at some point in our lives.  Seen some awesome places and met some amazing people in my life.  :)

And I wouldn't change any of it for anything in the world.  Because it has brought me to the here and now.  Right this very moment.  I guess you could say I am at peace with myself.

But at the same time, it makes me want to dig out my old desktop and watch some of those old video blogs and look at some of those old pictures... from way back when.

Who knows!  I may come across some really good stuff.  And if I do, I'll share.

Hey Sweets, remember me?

Guess what?

 I'm coming back.

With a vengance.  :)

And I can't wait to see Alabama again.

Happy Friday my friends!

  1. embracing your past means being mature. looking towards future even more so.
    you're doing well, girl!

  2. You inspired me to go through my old pictures this weekend.
    So many mixed feelings :)

  3. Boy, it can be tough. Forgotten stuff comes out...

  4. Chris,
That is the stuff you need to deal with. It won't disappear, so the sooner you sort things out the better.
Then you'll be able to enjoy remembering the good stuff.
    Go for it!

  5. some things indeed should stay where they belong - in the past.

  6. Get over it, Alex. There are many things in your past you can be proud of!

Say want you want but be nice or be gone. :)
