Parking Lot Dickery...

There are lines painted in a parking lot that form these things called rows.  They are used for helping to control the flow of traffic and to keep cars from smashing into each other.  Follow the orange line in the photo below for an example of how to maneuver through a parking lot when you are looking for a parking space.

Speed should be kept to a minimum because it's a PARKING LOT.  Not a HIGHWAY.

People that go through parking lots similar to the red line path in the photo below are doing it wrong.  It's not that hard to understand parking lot etiquette if you have any level of intelligence.  Following this path is actually dangerous and is parking lot dickery.

Rules are there for a reason and it's usually to keep everyone safe, including you, me and any random child that may be running loose.

Once you have parked, have exited your vehicle and are on your way into the store, pay attention to what is going on around you.  The main way to avoid being hit by a car is to PAY ATTENTION.  If you can't see the driver then the driver can not see you.  Everyone has to take some responsibility for their own life and well being.  Lately it seems that people's brains are sucked out of their heads when they enter a parking lot.

That's all I'm going to say about this subject for the moment.  It just appears that over the past few years that simple social etiquette is going along the way of chivalry and common courtesy and that's just a sad, sad thing.

Happy Wednesday...

*hugs*
